The 22-day Sundown Markette 2026 will officially close on Saturday, March 14, marking the end of a Ramadan festival that has drawn thousands of visitors each day to the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Central Jakarta.
Held at the Softball Field area of the GBK sports complex since February 21, the festival has become a gathering space for residents looking to break their fast, enjoy live entertainment, and explore culinary offerings from small and medium enterprises.
Throughout the holy month, Sundown Markette has brought a vibrant yet intimate Ramadan atmosphere to the capital. Every afternoon leading up to sunset, the festival grounds gradually filled with families, groups of friends, and community members seeking a place to share the moment of iftar while experiencing a mix of food, music, and community activities.
Carrying the theme “Harmony of Togetherness,” Sundown Markette was designed as a public space that celebrates diversity and collective experience. Beyond serving as a culinary bazaar, the festival also showcased local creativity by bringing together SMEs, local brands, creative communities, and entertainment performers in a collaborative platform.
The event was organized by 370 Agency in collaboration with Inspira Global Karya. A total of 55 SME tenants and local brands participated in this year’s festival, offering a wide range of culinary selections, creative products, and affordable bazaar items.
In addition to rows of food stalls and product booths, visitors were treated to a variety of activities designed to enliven the Ramadan atmosphere. Music performances, community workouts, talk shows, Ramadan discussions, and family-friendly programs formed part of the daily lineup throughout the festival.
One of the highlights of Sundown Markette 2026 was an interactive program that offered visitors the chance to win an Umrah pilgrimage package for two, presented by AJ Travel Umroh. The program quickly became one of the festival’s most anticipated attractions.
Thousands of Visitors and Collaborative Programs
Over the course of more than three weeks, Sundown Markette recorded thousands of visitors each day. Various collaborative programs with partners also helped enliven the festival experience.
Community workout sessions were organized by Fit X Gym, while visitors enjoyed complimentary coffee distributed by Gunsas Resto & Coffee. Promotional product campaigns were also presented by SunCo.
Beyond entertainment and culinary offerings, the festival also featured educational initiatives. Several organizations participated in public health awareness programs during Ramadan, including Halodoc, Econolab, and Berseri Dental.
Visitors also received promotional merchandise from brands such as Dekoruma and Athena Clinic, further adding to the festive atmosphere.
Commitment to Cleanliness and Sustainable Waste Management
Behind the lively festival environment, organizers placed strong emphasis on environmental responsibility. All tenants were required to implement structured waste management systems throughout the event.
Sundown Markette collaborated with SunCo and DUITIN to ensure that waste collection and processing were conducted in a systematic and traceable manner. The initiative included the proper handling and recycling of used cooking oil generated from the festival’s culinary activities, preventing it from polluting the surrounding environment.
The program formed part of the festival’s broader commitment to reducing environmental impact while hosting a large-scale culinary event involving dozens of tenants and thousands of daily visitors.
Dian Rufal, Managing Director of 370 Agency, expressed appreciation for the public support and collaboration from partners throughout the festival.
According to Dian, hosting a 22-day event during the Ramadan period presented its own logistical and operational challenges. However, the strong support from partners and the enthusiasm of the public allowed the festival to run smoothly until its final days.
“We are very grateful for the warm response from the community toward Sundown Markette. Organizing a 22-day festival during Ramadan is certainly not simple. But with the support of many partners, especially Inspira Global Karya as our key collaborator, the event has been able to run well until the end,” he said.
He also expressed hope that Sundown Markette could return next year on a larger scale and generate an even greater impact for communities and small businesses.
To close the festival, Indonesian singer Shakira Jasmine from Musica Studios is scheduled to perform at the final night of Sundown Markette on March 14.
Visitors still have the opportunity to attend the final day of the festival and experience the Ramadan atmosphere at GBK—sharing iftar meals, meeting communities, and enjoying the sense of togetherness that has defined Sundown Markette throughout its 2026 edition.
