indonesiabrief.com/ — President’s directives to serve as moral compass for government, says Bakom chief

Bogor, West Java — Head of the Government Communication Office (Badan Komunikasi Pemerintah/Bakom) Angga Raka Prabowo has emphasized that the directives delivered by President Prabowo Subianto during the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) between the central and regional governments should serve as both a moral compass and a practical guide for the entire state apparatus.

Speaking after the opening session of the Rakornas at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in Bogor regency on Monday, Angga Raka said the President’s message underlined the fundamental purpose of governance: to serve and work for the people with integrity, transparency and tangible results.

“The President’s directives are a moral compass and a clear direction for all state officials. The government must be present through concrete actions, people-oriented policies, and honest and transparent communication with the public,” Angga Raka told reporters in Jakarta.

The Rakornas was attended by 4,487 participants, comprising officials from central government institutions as well as regional administrations from across the country. In his address, President Prabowo outlined key priorities while reaffirming the core values of leadership in public service.

According to Angga Raka, the President’s instructions covered a wide range of strategic issues, including a renewed emphasis on leadership as a form of service and dedication to the people, rather than the pursuit of power or institutional interests.

“President Prabowo called on all leaders, both at the central and regional levels, to struggle together, to remain united and to work tirelessly to eradicate poverty,” Angga Raka said. “His message was very clear: there must be no sectoral ego, because those we serve are the Indonesian people.”

The President also stressed that the legitimacy of all national leaders derives from the mandate of the people. As such, both central and regional governments bear the responsibility of ensuring that citizens can live in prosperity, justice and social harmony.

“In his remarks, the President reminded us that all leaders are present because of the people’s mandate and are therefore obliged to serve them,” Angga Raka said. “He emphasized that the future of the nation lies in the hands of its leaders, and that Indonesians expect leaders who are fair, honest and genuinely committed to working in the public interest.”

Angga Raka added that the Government Communication Office would ensure that the President’s messages and directives from the Rakornas are conveyed comprehensively to all stakeholders and communicated clearly to the wider public.
