One of the most significant meetings in this series was a discussion with Rosatom, Russia's nuclear energy corporation. The meeting was held at the Russian Trade Representative's office in Indonesia, located at Jl. Imam Bonjol No. 60, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Attended by Mrs. Anna Belokoneva, Head of the Rosatom Representative Office in Indonesia, and Mr. Ivan Simakov, Head of the Russian Trade Representative's Department in Indonesia, this gathering became a valuable platform to discuss potential cooperation in the development of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) and the advancement of new renewable energy in Indonesia.
In line with Indonesia's efforts to increase the use of renewable energy and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, collaboration with Rosatom is crucial.
This partnership will not only support meeting domestic energy needs but also contribute to environmentally friendly and sustainable development.
Meanwhile, a breaking-of-the-fast gathering held in the Adityawarman area, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, also provided a platform for Indonesia to strengthen ties with partners from China.
This meeting, attended by Mr. Yang Ruiyi, Deputy Head of CHMC (China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation) in Indonesia, and Mr. Rian, discussed various project opportunities in the agriculture, mining, and other infrastructure sectors with great enthusiasm.
A more in-depth discussion followed with CRBC (China Road and Bridge Corporation), a state-owned Chinese company with vast experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Held in the Mega Kuningan area of South Jakarta, this event saw the presence of Mr. Niu Tao and Mr. Ting Chen Wenkiat from CRBC, who discussed strategic projects in Indonesia, including the construction of the Giant Sea Wall, toll roads, dams, and hospitals. These projects play a vital role in supporting infrastructure development that will strengthen Indonesia's economy.
Ismeth Wibowo, an Indonesian entrepreneur involved in renewable energy and infrastructure, emphasized the importance of international collaboration.

This forum is expected to provide a platform for constructive discussions on investment opportunities and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Ismeth also added that the collaboration between Indonesia and Russia, especially in the energy sector, is becoming increasingly relevant given the 75th anniversary of Indonesia-Russia diplomatic relations and Indonesia’s entry as a BRICS member in January 2025.
"Indonesia's membership in BRICS and the New Development Bank (NDB) is a strategic step to strengthen Indonesia's role in the global economy. We hope that with this cooperation, Indonesia's energy and infrastructure sectors will grow faster," he added.
